I own this kit. Unfortunately the maple kit was not available when I bought my kit on E-Bay. The drum shells and drum wrap on the non-maple kit are of low quality but the hardware on this kit is pretty decent. I would definitely go for the maple kit. I just watched the openning ceremonies from the Super Bowl which I recorded on Tivo. There were several shots where you could see Steve Jordan doing his thing on his cocktail kit. Way cool!!!!!!! I will try to record it and post some pix for the web site.
