I leave about 3" between the snare and kick. The Peace pad was missing, so I use a "Sound Off" ring. It's made of a foam similar to computer mouse pad. It works well. I may try to put some cotton balls in the bottom to eliminate some ring. I'm also using an old Tama round felt beater ...

It did fit and looks as if it had not been modified.

Found at Guitar Center

Well, just days after selling my GP cocktail set on eBay, I walked into Guitar Center and they had a wine red Peace Manhattan cocktail set. I played it, and it sounded much better than the GP set, probably due to the full size snare drum. So I bought it!!! I wil use it at band practice with my tall ...

Selling my Cocktail Set on eBay

Hi all. After three weeks of playing it, I have listed it on eBay - item 7354233197. I did some soul searching, and just want to play a sit-down set. It is a really good set, so if you need one or knows someone who does, she will be shipped carefully and promptly. I have added some extras from what ...

Throne for cocktail drummers

Here is a throne idea for us standing drummers. I had an old Tama STILT stand and took the pole and seat from a PDP DT-700 throne ($30 on sale at Guitar Center) and now I have a throne I can lean/sit on while I play.

What kind of sticks do you use?

I just took delivery of my cocktail set on Friday and am experimenting with different sticks. I have tried Cool Rods, Whips, and have a pair of solid Acousticks coming from eBay. Any ideas on other sticks I might try? Thanks! I'll try to post some pics soon. I will tell you I have cheated and broke ...

John- the hardware is good. The shells are pretty decent. However the bearing edge on the top of the snare is a little crooked, but I knew going in that new drum heads, some muffling, lug locks, and memory locks would be needed. I will note that the set I bought is available in midnight blue or wine...

John-I paid $280 including shipping. They have them on eBay. I bought it Sunday morning and it was on my doorstep Friday! The set is really nice. Granted, they are budget drums, but for what I do (incorporating acoustic drums into our songs that have until now only had a djembe) this set is perfect....

I just tonight took delivery of the same set here in USA. Get a Remo flam pad and a Remo Ebony Pinstripe. It will sound MUCH better. You may need to muffle the top head slightly.

I love the kit, but the FIVE lug 10" tom is difficult to tune. I wish it had SIX lugs.

Good luck!
