A 2-part epoxy might be overkill, and a little messy to work with given the consistency of it once mixed. If I'm looking at the photo right, the void in the plys isn't much bigger than a toothpick. A drop of wood glue will soak into the wood and solidify, strengthening the wood, and be good to go. A...

Honestly doesn't look like much of a problem. If it sounds good and plays fine, just put a drop of wood glue on it and call it good. It doesn't look like something that would spread or have any effect on the sound quality, just my 2cents2ya.

I have to ask about the piano black kit, how many of the 6 accessory drums are meant to mounted at once? Do you have any pictures of the kit set up? That kit is setup with enough brackets and accessories to setup all the drums (10" snare, 12" snare, 8" tom, 10" tom, 8" timb...

Link to a collection of photos, some interesting ideas....

On the verge of the "shameless self promotion boat", I thought I'd share this link. There are some interesting cocktail drum ideas that customers have brought me that we've managed to turn into cool drums. Different styles of mounting, hardware use, configurations, etc. I've been carefully...

I was talking to a friend recently about getting my hands on one of these to check out, it does look really well made for the price, and appears to be one of the best deals out there. I was strongly advised to google Jim Laabs first before purchasing, and long story short, I didn't buy a set. I'm su...

The sizes in that clip are a 16"x24" main drum, 10"x8" tom, and 10"x6" snare, all 8-ply maple with dual 45-degree edges and Remo coated heads. Let me know if I can answer any other questions, thanks! -D

Finally, a little sound clip of a kit...

Nothing fancy, just a short'n'sweet clip of a kit, recorded with a Zoom Q3, no post-processing or effects. The heads are coated remo ambassadors on the snare and tom, coated PowerStroke4 on the bass. Full size 14" hats and an 18" thin crash. Good times...wish I could hang on to one of thes...

It's a bummer when a combination of health problems and a crazy economy take a toll on a small business. I wish Metro all the best, but from what I've heard your best bet of getting a refund is to file charge-back with your credit card company (nothing personal, just what I've heard about others exp...

Hi Guys, I finally got the site up, although it will be getting a lot of tweaks over the next week or two. There are three more models of cocktail drums coming over the next several months, I'm just not done tweaking the first ones to make sure they sound nice. Any and all feedback would be apprecia...

An update from Phattie

Howdy Cocktail Drum Fans, It's been a long time! (former user name phattied) I really haven't had a lot of time to devote to the cocktail drum world the last couple of years (really the last five or so), and it's finally time to get back into the market. You'll notice the current cocktail page on ou...
