Re: custom sidekick for sale - soon

murph, How you doin', bro? Did you guys have fun at The Continental Club in Austin? My guess is you did. I have been enjoying the CD I bought, and look forward to the next one coming out. I definitely want a copy of it. I see you're still trying to get rid of your Sidekick pedal. Somebody will take...

The foot cabassa/wood block is sheer genius. Looks like it would be very easy to swap in cowbell or tambourine if desired. This might be tough playing with the bass pedal simultaneously while standing, but if seated on a high stool, I bet you could get all sorts of percussive accompaniment. Awesome!...

Great to meet ya!

So I'm sitting at a table near the front door, and Robert (guitar/vox in the Straight 8s) sits down all excited and says "hey Murph, this guy just walked in and he's got one of those reversed kick pedals like yours... he's right over there... what's up with that?" LOL I said "man, I d...

Wow... great playing and the kit sounds awesome. The youtube vid comments also indicate you played/recorded the piano/bass parts? You are one talented (and resourceful) musician! Looking forward to more vids as your kit and (standing) technique continue to evolve.

DW Side Kick Pedal For Sale ($125 shipped) - NEW PRICE!

I've had some interest but no takers. I'll reduce the price here for a month or so and then off to craigslist or my local shop. It's been sitting in a shipping box in my drum room and I'm tired of looking at it. :-) Thanks all!

re: heads

Hey, I tried tikifreak's suggestion and installed an Aquarian Perf II head on the kick-side. MUCH thumpier bass drum sound than I was getting from the Powerstroke 3. Now, I love Powerstroke 3s and run them on all my other trad bass drums. I think the larger displacement makes that possible. But, the...
