I imagine that I could move the 8" tom to the front. The rims mount gives that possibility. I might give it a try. I agree it would be easier to play that way. It would be a matter of balancing out the weight then once the tom is moved.

Hey, thanks for the replys. It's actually kinda fun having the small toms on opposite sides of the main drum...a bit of a challenge, and takes some getting used to. The rims mounts are nice but I really don't know if they add that much to the sound of the kit. I'm going to be selling this one if any...
