Thanks for the question. Yes, they are made by staving the timber.The shells are 14 mm thick (5/8") and they are heavy. My biggest concern was the support for both the snare and side tom, but they hold well and don't move once locked in place.I can play a gig without any problems.

I use AKG Mikes on my kit. The one for the kick drum is D112 and for the other drums I use C418. They are tiny and just clip onto the rim and don't get in the way. No need for stands here.Regards Tony.

Thanks for the interest Matthew. The kick drum bracket is handmade from 12mm stainless steel and is just bent at right angle with lugs welded on to locate it. This bracket is fitted when the drum is inverted and being assembled. The legs slide through to locate it. You can't see, but there is one pa...
