Re: Starting a journey.
Hey Claude, Glad to hear that things are shaping up on your drum set up! A couple of quick mentions: 1) If you keep your eyes open, you can find the DW sidekick pedal for sale used at a 'more reasonable' price. I picked one up for about $100. Still a chunk of change but not too bad for a very high q...

Meinl Bass/Snare Boxes
Hi All, These have been around for a while but I have only recently started looking into them closely! 'Not Exactly' Cocktail Drum parts but no reason you could not use these standing up! I also often create small/exotic mini kits so these could compliment that very well. Impressive sound on the bas...

Re: Late 50's Slingerland Cocktail kit questions.
I wonder if this was a custom turquoise finish?
Back in the 50s they did a lot of special order colors and I think that was a popular car finish as well at that time.

The hand truck is amazing! I wish there was a way to get it on there in a "ready to play" configuration. That would truly be something!

Hey Dinkus,
Nice to see your post! Very cool idea!
How much snare buzz do you get when you play the kick alone with the snare turned on?
Sound samples would be awesome!

Traditional Korean Janggu Cocktail Kit!
Hey All,
This is an interesting take on a traditional hourglass drum. Put it upright and play it like a cocktail kit with a pedal. Check it out! The music is quite amazing as well!

NIce one Comet! I remember that picture now that I see it again. Funny how few things are 'new'.
WHy are they not auctioning the cocktail kit? because it is in the center and does not 'belong' to either half? Curious...
