Re: cocktail-warshboard-new build
Thanks John,
My friends said I have too much time on my hands.
I think they are right!
There is no comparison with peter Lau's stuff though. He rules!
Thanks!

Re: cocktail-warshboard-new build
Thanks Robert, One of my friends said if it didn't sound good I could call it sculpture! It doesn't sound bad, for what it is, and it is perfect for an acoustic group. It is a crutch with a 12"x 14" old WFL floor tom I've been dragging around for years. I made the snare drum from a 8"...

Re: cocktail-warshboard-new build
Me too! I can't think of a thing to call it.
Guess you guys can't either.
Oh Well. I tried to play the thing out, and it really is not loud enough without running it through the PA or an amp.

Hi All,
I have been working on this, mostly when I was recovering from surgery. Not sure what to call it.
Maybe you all can give me some input as to what I should call it.
Thanks,
Mike Long AKA ratatattat
PS I will post pic asap

Thanks Baker.
I love this site.

Re: back after a two year absence

I do like my old radio kings, but I do really miss playing my cocktail drum. I have sold all but one cocktail set. I still have my slingerland cocktail drum that is a one ...

Re: back after a two year absence
I guess nobody remembers me.
Or everybody is afraid to post a reply. I am not looking for sympathy or anything like that.
Maybe a "welcome back" would be nice.
I do miss this site and the interaction.

back after a two year absence
Hello Everybody, Been some time since I have been here! I had a little accident that has changed the way I play now. I am back to a regular kit sitting down even. I took a forty foot fall off a billboard sign and crushed both of my heels and fractured every bone in my lumbar and fractured my sacrum ...

Frayed cord
I modified my sidekick using wire rope in place of the cord, after time even the wire rope will fray also, but it is a replaceable item & very cheap, you just need a cable cutter tool to make it convenient. It feels a little different, but if you can get used to the side kick with the cord, the ...
