I just read one of the other threads and learned that cutting a hole to the side of the top head (about 1.5 diameter) helps eliminate the double bounce and gives more volume to the bass beat. I have been using a seated cocktail setup for some time, and it works very well. I place the bottom head about 10" from the floor, which works the best for me. I have used several pedals modified to beat upwards -- DW 5000, Iron Cobra, Pearl 9000 -- they all work very well when modified. I even...
