I have to ask about the piano black kit, how many of the 6 accessory drums are meant to mounted at once? Do you have any pictures of the kit set up? They all look beautiful, keep up the great work! John, my thoughts exactly. Those were the first questions that came to mind when I saw the piano blac...

I'm not sure, vic. But I've noticed the same trend on youtube videos (I also dabble in a couple of instruments myself...and youtube is a great resource). My guess is that with the drums, the main component is a person's rhythm, which is very easy to criticize. I believe that the drums are difficult ...

3/8" to 6.5mm Hi-hat Rod -- $25 (includes shipping)
I was cleaning out my attic today and I came across a hihat mounting rod that originally came with my Excel Sonic Traveller cocktail kit. I mounted my hihats using a cowbell mount. So, I really don't need it and am looking to downsize my clutter. lol. I figured I'd give you guys first shot before I ...

What kind of sticks do you use?
What kind of sticks do you use to play your cocktail kit? I know that it will vary according to what kind of music you play. I play in church and do a lot of cymbal work during the worship. I personally like the feel of promark hot rods/cool rods. I've been seriously thinking of buying a pair of tho...

Middletown Youth Orchestra
I work with a group of kids called the Middletown Youth Orchestra. It's a community program out of my church, Midtown Tabernacle. It teaches free music lessons to kids in the Middletown area. One of the drum sets being used will be my cocktail kit. We'll be having two performances this year. I'll po...

No Drill Snare Mount
Here's something I came up with for mounting a regular snare onto my cocktail drum using an LP Small Claw. Because of it, I was able to mount a Pearl piccolo snare that really goes great with the kit. I had just bought the snare a couple of months ago, so I really didn't want to do anything that wou...

Gigpig cymbals
Hey guys! I've recently been looking into building a drum that's a mix between Peter Lau's boxtail kit and the gigpig. While I was doing my research I came across some cymbals that gigpig offers. The sizes are: Ride - 14" Crash - 10" Splash - 8" Hi-Hats - 8" Here's the link where...

Steve Jordan's Hi Hats
Hey guys, In the video with John Mayer, what kind of hi hats is Steve Jordan using (i.e. brand name, series, and/or sizes). I want to say that Steve uses Paiste cymbals because he endorses them, but all of his signiture cymbals on the paiste website are huge (the smallest of the three are 17" h...

Hey guys, my myspace is: myspace.com/jgove33 I haven't had a chance to get any pictures of my cocktail kit up here or on there, but, hopefully, I'll get around to that soon. Anyway, I was thinking of mayber starting a myspace group for cocktail drummers. We could also probably use it to refer people...

Hey Guys, I was surfing around Music123.com and I came accross this: http://images.music123.com/products/original/Sample%20Products/592199.jpg I've never heard of verve.
