Yes, Dream cymbals all 'round! Love the gentle sound in quite rooms, but when they need to, the really cut through.

Re: back after a two year absence

I've been away a while too, but not for the very good reason you have. Good to see you, and good to be seen as well. Peace Brother, and good drumming to you (even if you are sitting)

Re: This is where I'm at for bigger venus...

The snare is on the only extra stand. Hats are actually attached to the snare drum itself. Both cymbal arms are mounted to the main drum. Incidentally, Dane Clark also used a separate stand for his piccolo snare, when he played with John Mellencamp at Farm Aid.

Re: Farm Aid 2012

As expected, it was a bit quieter than his standard kit, and the cymbal wasn't mic'd, but all in all, a good sound.

At smaller clubs, I remove the larger ride and 14" crash, using only an 18"crash ride and 12" splash. Just havin' fun. Peace!

Farm Aid 2012

I was very pleased to see some cocktail action at Farm Aid in Hershey, PA last week. Dane Clark with John Mellencamp.

Re: Need crash/ride, mini-hihat ideas

I am a complete Dream cymbal convert. I cannot tell you how much I like these plates. I'm using 12" Bliss hats, 20" Bliss ride, 12" Contact splash, 18" Bliss crash/ride, and soon will be adding a 14" Bliss crash. Yes, they all fit nicely on my kit. Currently undergoing mods,...

Kick side - wrong problem, right fix (now)

Today, after almost a year, and multiple unsuccessful head changes and tweaks on the bottom of my Trixon elite, I finally got a sound I like...by changing the beater. On a whim, I picked up a Vater Bomber fleece beater. When I installed it, I instantly I heard the warm, low, vintage sound I desired ...

DW 3000 pedal...

Anyone know if the DW 3000 pedal has a fully adjustable beater angle? Found a new one on CL for cheap, and was thinking I would convert it, but not if the angle can't be adjusted to where I like it. Another option is a Pearl 900 series which I KNOW IS FULLY ADJUSTABLE and the same price (new) as the...
