John, I spaced and bought a couple of Wuhan 12" splash cymbals (guess why!) off of Musician's Friend yesterday without checking here first. Is there a retroactive way to get the forum some money off the deal?
Also, I'll let you know if I have the same luck with them you did--I called them to see if somebody could hand pick a heavy splash and a light splash, but they said no. So I think splash hats will just work on the lottery system for anybody who doesn't live near a guitar center. I'll let you know how my luck goes. I've never heard two wuhan splashes that sounded the same--some identical splashes can be an octave off and have a huge contrast of overtones.
