What a fun site! Thanks. I have a blue sparkle '65 Leedy
cocktail set.Includes a cowbell stand and an 8" tom. I have an "L" cymbal attachement clamped to the original cymbal stand so I can add a crash. I am the drummer with Berkeley Klezmer here in Berkeley California. I find the cocktail set is perfect for this music.
Anyone know if Yamaha's pedal will work on a a slingerland/leedy like the one you have pictured?
Cary, the yamaha pedal is simply a chain-drive pedal flipped
around. It mounts to a special bracket that clamps
between two of the floor tom legs and flatens out in the middle
so that you can clamp a pedal to it. It should work for any drum!
