Found at Guitar Center
Well, just days after selling my GP cocktail set on eBay, I walked into Guitar Center and they had a wine red Peace Manhattan cocktail set. I played it, and it sounded much better than the GP set, probably due to the full size snare drum. So I bought it!!! I wil use it at band practice with my tall stool I built from a Tama stilt stand. We practice in our guitar's players basement, and this will be perfect for me to use over there. How much you ask? Only $125!!!! A lady bought it for $500, used it a few times, and she took it in and they gave her $75 for it on trade. The heads are still brand new and unmarked. Great quality set. Bargains can be found!

I leave about 3" between the snare and kick. The Peace pad was missing, so I use a "Sound Off" ring. It's made of a foam similar to computer mouse pad. It works well. I may try to put some cotton balls in the bottom to eliminate some ring. I'm also using an old Tama round felt beater instead of the Peace beater.
Peace iso-facto pad
The Peace iso-facto pad that goes on the top head of the kick drum is just one of those rubber 14 inch practice pads with a raised spot in the middle that are used for low volume snare practice. They sell them at most music stores. It does deaden the kick quite a bit but I get absolutely no ringing with mine so I guess it's one of those trade-offs. I don't mind the deadening so much because I'm usually trying to play at low volumes.
