John, I was looking at your blue kit in the gallery and was wondering what kind of mounting apparatus you used to mount your triangle. It looks like a hanger off an old Vaudeville set. I've seen other pics where you used a Rhythm Tech Trigger mount, but the other one is the one I 'm interested in.
Thanks,

Triangle Mount

Post by jmettam »

Hey Mango,

You mean in this pic, right?

Image

It is very simple. A piece of 1" wide aluminum bar (1/8" thick) That I bent into shape and drilled a hole for a piece of string to hold the trianlge. The extra bonus is, the bar slides perfectly into the piece of plastic that separates the two Remo toy bongos. So, it has a built in mount!

Super light. I have to admit that since I added on the Rims mount and all of my extra toys, I miss the old days of a lighter schlepp!

John, if your main drum was any bigger, you would need a moving co. to move it, because I know you would fill it up. :D
