Anybody tried using extra long legs and then compensating with an extra long beater?

it's been over a decade since I tried my first 'cocktail kit' experiment and it was similar to this! Didn't work so well for me because the balance of the beater on the pedal was hard to adjust to and the beater surface to head is reduced at a steeper angle.
If it's comfortable for you, I suppose the sound and response could be improved by bending the beater shaft, but first experiment to see if the beater balance makes sense to your playing style
