Really nice set. The cocktail conversion is a very interesting feature. Shows how to make a drum set really versatile. Only problem - the price...

That just seems way out of line for the price, doesn't it? Wasn't there one a while back for in the mid 700's? that seems more do-able. Maybe it's a hail mary post, if somebody buys it then the guy's made a fortune

I'd guess you're right on that. If it were a regular music store I could see a bit of horse trading going on.

Does spending that much money give you a better sense of rhythm? The heaviest "rhythm section" I ever heard was in a film clip of Big Bill Broonzey, a Delta blues musician. He was playing an energetic blues tune and started stomping his foot in rhythm. I've never seen a drummer that had the rhythmic drive of that one singer and his guitar.
