Christmas gig

Christmas gig

Postby Tom E. Gunn » Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:49 pm

Hi Everyone, hope all is well, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

I'm playing my company's Christmas Party next week! I have a trio which consists of cocktail drums, saxophone, and keys plus vocals. We are doing a lot of Christmas 'swing' songs... Ray Charles, Cole Porter, stuff like "Take the A Train," Nat King Cole... should be a lot of fun.

Anyone else cocktailin' for Christmas?

I will be playing a gig Thursday for a nonprofit's Christmas party with a guitar and bass, just classic rock stuff and Christmas tunes. The next week I will play at a Hanukkah party. I may use my traditional set for that, though. But a cocktail set has so much attitude!
