Thanks for the comments fw. I haven't entirely encorporated the SPD-20 to the cocktail kit at this point but it wouldn't be hard. The reason it was set up beside the cocktail kit was it was a last minute addition incase we did a dance number that required the sound. We ended up not using it at all that particular night. If I was to put it into the show it would be set up on my left hand side and just above the toms. I think you could do some great things with the spd especially with limited stage space and a cocktail kit. As for hybrid stuff, I've used midi, mini-disc, cd's electronics, etc. If it services your songs and your needs and you have the ability to play it. I say go hard. Have fun.
