The 8-ply shell of the SDD1050 is made of Birch and Philippine Mahogany. If you want a little extra "sonic flavor" add one of these snares to your kit. Equipped with a rod clamp, it can be attached to a double stand or to a tom clamp that is attached to a cymbal stand to offer a variety of setup arrangements.
These drums are usually around $120 so this is a cheap way to add a snare. Comes with a Yamaha mount (Shell mounted - No ISS)
