Reversed Pedal & Other Things

Post by mangorockfish »

Last night I reversed a DW 5000 pedal and am going to replace my new DW Sidekick pedal with it. The Sidekick was good, but when you hit the drum, the whole thing shook and wobbled because it was anchored to one of the legs. Also, am going to use the velcro trick as I can put the pedal farther under the drum and and my legs are in a more natural configuration when playing sitting down. I can position it more easily if I want to hit the head at a different place quicker. The Sidekick could be moved, but it took some time to readjust everything.

Also, got all new Remo Renaissance batters yesterday, and am supposed to get my "Phattie type" strainers the middle of next week so I can add dual snares to my drum.

Bought a new SKB trap case to put all my brackets, whistles, and bells in when we gig.
It's the one with the cymbla safe on the side. Pretty cool.
