Sunday, my band, Lookback Marys, is multi-tasking. We are going to meet with our prospective new manager and have an acoustic practice. I'm taking the Cocktail Kit out to play for the first time since I got the snare/bass tuning and sound down. Now for the biggie. I'm leaving my side snare at home and only taking my main drum, snare/bass and a side tom and then my toys. This will be a good test run for the jazz gig I'm doing 3/11.
I'm working Saturday morning, I drive a big truck, which I dearly love, and when I get home around lunch, my wife and I are spending the rest of the day and evening together for some much needed R&R - nice dinner, some imported libations, and just some "us time". Then Sunday, practice on the Cocktail Kit. How good do I have it? Wish you guys had it so good.
