Vintage Slingerland Pedal Pics

Post by jmettam »

Hey all,

I was taking some pictures of my Gold Sparkle Slingerland and finally got some detail pictures of it. Thought some of you might be interested.

The pedal is built into a metal dowel that also acts as one of the three legs to the drum. It is very simple and compact. Similar to the old Rogers astoria pedal and some of the Ludwig pedals I have seen. The action is quite smooth and the coolest thing is that both the height of the pedal and the travel of the beater are adjustable by tweaking the height clamp and pedal strap. All in all an excellent performer!

those are some really nice photos, John.
Amazing ingenuity for a pedal from that ancient era
The other photos are very nice too - a lovely drum indeed.
