Does anyone know

Hey Grant, I wish I had your enthusiasm! Look on the "Links" section of Cocktail drum lounge for any number of suppliers of raw ply shells. I think it is much cheaper to buy ready made shells from a company that is set up to do that kind of thing rather than try to make your own shells? But who knows? maybe you can make a plywood shell cheaper. Good Luck!!

Grant:

Check out the Ghostnote site, lots of good information on drum building and plenty of folks who have tried what you're looking to do. Are you thinking of a mutliple ply, solid, segment or stave shell?
