quick intro and pedal questions

Post by sonorone »

Hey folks, First time posting. 34 yr old drummer out of WV. found you guys in the latest edition of modern drummer. After looking at this site, I decided that an old set of slingerland toms (16 floor and 12 rack) would make a great cocktail set along with a nice little 10 inch pork pie snare I have.

Now I planned on using an axis a line pedal I have. the thing is I am not sure with a solid link instead of a chain or strap if it's possible? I have looked all over the internet and found nothing. Has anyone here had any experience with these pedals being converted or know of where I can find out? Thanks

I was thinking about reversing a DW7000 single pedal because they look like they have more adjustments that might suit the oddball use. I am using an Iron Cobra backward now and it's ok, but there's no useful adjustments for this application. What's your impression of using the DW7000 this way?
