Hey there John
Great website. I found it about a year and a half ago and was amazed that I had never seen a cocktail drum before.
I've been playing (for fun) for about 24 years.
So , after seeing your site I knew that I had to have one. I ordered one from the same company that made my regular drum set, www.rocketshells.com Rocketshells.

We went with a vintage look, blue sparkle that I love. The drum is 14 x 24 and has a Powerstroke 3 on the bottom and a Fiberskyn 3 FA on the top. I keep experimenting with the heads though.

The snare that I have on there now is a 4x8
So far so good, and a blast to play.
Thank you for opening my eyes to a great style of drumming.
Ok.....you've pulled me out of Lurker mode...I'm one of those old-timer ctail kit lovers. I've toyed around with some of the old Slingerlands and Ludwigs and now have a 1967 Slingerland hybrid cocktail set called the 286.

Cool kit!
Just curious to get a little more info about the inside shell. Any baffles in the middle?
Any type of muffler or snare brush on the top head?
Are all the clamps the hook-oh LP type or did you drill for the snare clamp?
Are the tuning lugs solid composite or is it some sort of unique lug there (my eyesight is failing :^))
What sort of pedal and holder...is that a Yamaha?
Cost?
(I wasn't able to find any reference on the Rocketshell site....course that might be my crappy dial-up connection and it's inability to handle some Shockwave code)

Hey there Jeff,
There are no baffles in the drum, the top head has no muffler or snare brush. It is strictly a tom and bass drum.
The clamps that I am using right now are the LP type. They give me the most flexibility without having to drill holes.
The lugs are made out of a carbon composite and are unique to Rocketshells drums.
The pedal, I'm sorry to say, is made in Japan by pearl. The pedal holder is a no-name I bought off of e-bay.

Feel free to email me with any further questions
