Davis Farmers Market Picnic in the Park

Our band, Davis' own Odd Man Out, is the featured act for the opening night of the Davis Farmers Market Picnic in the Park series. We're playing on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, from 4:30 to 8:30 pm (yeah, 4 sets) at Central Park, 3rd and B Street in Davis, California. Because it's the start of the Wednesday night farmers markets that are held from March to October, we should get a little extra publicity from the local newspaper. We're also ingratiating ourselves with the person who books the bands, since we're willing to play on what may be a fairly cold night. She said she'd try to give us an additional date as a reward for braving the elements (hopefully in the summer or early fall).

Besides all the great local produce, a number of restaurants set up booths and serve hot food of various types. I don't remember if they serve beer or not.

We have an electric lead guitarist, an electric-acoustic rhythm guitarist, bass, and cocktail drum set. Three of us take turns singing lead and we do a lot of old pop stuff from the 60s and 70s with lots of harmony vocals (Beatles, CSN, Eagles, Band, etc.).
