Cocktail drum gig in Brewtown

Post by milwaukee »

I'm going cocktail for a pair of Sunday morning gigs coming up in my fair city.

Sunday, November 5 and
Sunday, November 12
"Blues Brunch" with the Dan Lloyd Bluuz Trio
at Riverwalk Bistro
223 N. Water St.
Milwaukee, WI
http://www.riverwalkbistro.com/
11am-2pm
No cover

I'll be rocking the pink Club Jordan kit these two Sundays at the Bistro. We'll be playing some low-key blues, bluesy jazz, jazzy blues, etc. Come check it out if you're in the area. The food, drinks and atmosphere at the Bistro are superb.

Thanks!

Hey Milwaukee.Sounds like a cool gig, not your average Sat. nite bar. I'm curious-what is the instrumentation in the group? I'm finding the smaller ones usually take more care to fill out their sound than the big ones. Hope it goes well.

Robert, it's a guitar/bass/drums trio. The bass player might be playing an upright, I'm not sure.

You're right about filling out the sound; it'll be rods & brushes for me all day which will fatten things up a little bit while keeping the volume down. Should be able to use lots of space to fill things out too, if you catch my drift.

This one's turning into a recurring gig. The next one is this weekend, same times, same place:

Sunday, February 4
