acrylic cocktail set question

I had a vision in a dream of an amazing cocktail set design last night. Does anyone know anything about how to make your own acrylic drum shells? How sturdy is acrylic glue? I don't want to give away my vision, but if there were a cocktail drumset in Logan's Run, this would be it.

Wasn't there a place out there that sold acrylic shells? I believe it was a plastics place.
