Now that I've finally got a cocktail kit, I'm wondering what would be the most efficient way to transport it without it being damaged. I don't like just carrying it around as I am now.
I was thinking I could make some kind of custom case with wheels that fits everything in it or maybe two seperate cases. It's a pretty minimal setup, all I need is a stool and a slim hi hat stand on top of the basic kit.
Any ideas?

Cocktail Cases
Hi Michael,
There are several cases listed in the 'Shop' section of the website. It seems most commond for people to use hard or soft cunga cases as they are about the same dimensions. It is also common to use a seperate smaller case for the side drums. A bongo case or single larger tom case should do the trick.
For the hi-hat, are looking for a fixed hi hat like this:
<a href='http://service.bfast.com/bfast/click?bf ... mtype=gear' target='blank'><img src='http://img.musiciansfriend.com/dbase/pi ... t.jpg'></a>
Or one with a pedal that can open and close the hi hat?

Hi John,
Funny you should mention the conga case for the side drums because that's what I used on the weekend, it fits the snare and tom nicely with a devider in between to prevend damage. I was hoping to build some kind of hard case that fitted everything but you're right, I should seperate them for easy lifting. I'll check out some conga bags then
About the hi hats stand, I have one so it's all good. I can put the 10'' hats on the drum arm closed if I want to.
