A sad story with a happy (ish) ending
Many years ago I ordered a Slingerland Expresso for $299 + shipping when there were about 2$ to the £. It was great, but then we found a secure practice space in a pub where I could leave a 'proper' kit - all I had to do was set it up and pack it away each week. So I sold the Expresso. Then they stopped making them! Then the pub closed!! I contacted Highwood Drums and a few others to see if they could make something similar. Highwood responded and are now making me a 'bespoke' version of the old Slingy. The (ish) is because it costs quite a bit more than $299 + shipping at $2 to the £!

Re: A sad story with a happy (ish) ending
and why has whoever actually made the expresso for Slingerland not released it under another name when everyone seems to want one?
