interesting. But is this pretty much the same as just a regular drum kit with triggers? i suppose this can get more volume, electronically amplified. but wouldn't a couple of mics on a regular acoustic kit do that as well?

Hi,

Although I've played Pearl drums for decades, I'm not impressed with this kit. The "electronic" aspect (heads, module) can be mounted on any drums shells. Also, I think a true "cocktail" kit should have everything attached to the main shell.

With that said, the actual sounds they have on their module do sound fantastic.
