Swedish Americana on a cocktailset!

Post by Guest »

Hey! you all cocktail fans out there!
check out our website and listen to some songs, I really enjoy playing on my cocktail kit, sounds great and looks awesome!

The kit I?m playing is a Power percussion Nashville made kit, with a club Jordan snare
and K-custom cymbals. (20" dark ride, 16" dark crash) And a Zildijan A 10" hi-hat.
I have tamas Iron cobra as a reversed pedal and a meinl cowbell. Works exellent with our type of music.

What kind of mike are you using on the main drum, and how does it sound. The hats on the ride is really cool. What kind & size shell is the main drum?

We mike the bassdrum sound with a Shure sm7 and on top with a Shure sm57.
the size on the maindrum is 24x15".
Tom 10" a Shure sm57
Snare 8" a Shure sm57 on top and a condenser mike underneath.
And a overhead condenser microphone for the cymbals.

But on the picture it?s only 3 microphones, a Shure beta 52 on the bassdrum, a Shure sm57 ont the snare and a condenser for tom and cymbal sounds, works pretty good that way to!

Hey Fred,
Man I'm wanting an AKG D112 for the kick and a couple of SM57s for the snare and overhead so I can start using my kit for more than acoustic and "unplugged" gigs. I've got to do something as "the boys" get a little loud from time to time. We play all original Americana and they get to ROCKIN".
Take care,
