getting started
Hey everyone,I have been on here for awhile....its been quiet as of late...anyway I am finally getting an idea of what kind of set I would like to make/get.I think a 16x18 will be the way to go with a side snare and I probably will opt to sit down on this one(sorry for the traditionalists out there)...I'll keep you posted on how it goes and get some pics up when I'm done ,thanks for listening.

there's nothing wrong with sitting down at a cocktail set, anyone who has played a 9-1AM gig in a smokey bar will tell you that standing all night can suck. Don't think that sitting makes you any less of a drummer.
On a completely different subject, I was looking through an old issue of modern drummer and I came across a review of Tribes custom drum's cocktail set. It was pretty cool looking. Of cousre this magazine is old and tribes may not offer this set anymore. It was still cool however, the bass and snare were two separate drums fitted together.
