Verve Cocktail Set

Just joined and have just ordered a Verve cocktail set. Just signed up with a guitar trio regional act that plays alot of small venues. The coctail set was a must. Request any and all feedback regarding their quality, weaknesses/strengths, tuning tips, etc. I generally try to go highend but just didn't have the cash for the Yamahas. I figured maple shells fir $370 delivered was a no brainer. Expect to have to swap out the cymbals and heads that come with it. I tend to like deep tones if anyone can suggest heads. Im thinking evans hydralic? Welcome all suggestions.
